As a part of their “Truly Gifted III” program, Hong Kong retailer JOYCE has teamed up with some notable designers for a line of iPhone cases. The participating designers are (from left to right): Anna Sui, Rick Owens, Marni, Dries Van Noten, Etro, and Bless. iPhone cases have recently become a popular canvas for artists, but some of these cases (specifically Rick Owens and Bless) take it to the next level by modifying shape and materials. As deformed as it looks, the Rick Owens case is the only one I’d use.

After months of anticipation, the ACL shop is finally open. In addition to the house brand, ACL & Co., there are also a few collaborations with Billykirk, Cole, Rood, & Haan, and Mark McNairy. Luckily for me, the majority of the items in the shop are bags: breifcases, laptop sleeves, and small zipper bags. If only there were a 13″ laptop sleeve, I’d be all over it. It’s great to see ACL founder Michael Williams turn his blog into a brand, not to mention working with established designers right from the start. I’m excited to see where the brand and blog will go from here.

Sometimes the most pointless things are the things I want the most. In this case, I’m referring to this awesome leather lighter case from WTAPS. I don’t see any reason I’d need a case for a lighter and yet I would love to have this item. Maybe later in life, when I’m a little more baller, I’ll throw down 75 Euros for a small leather case to house something that needs no protection. But for now I’ll keep my lighter uncovered, like some kind of peasant (10).

Porter has teamed up with Levi’s for a collection of bags and cases ranging from key holders to waist bags to totes. Each item is available in black or brown canvas and features the iconic red tab attached to the Porter label.

Incase just released their new line of Slider Cases in fluorescent colors. Personally, they’re a bit too loud for my taste, but the Slider Cases are the best I’ve tried. Get them on the Incase web store.

Blackbird released some new bags by Filson that feature their Rugged Twill and Genuine Bridle Leather. The collection includes a rucksack, tote, pullman, wallet, and glasses case. Besides the two high-end materials they use, the bags are pretty average. The wallet really stood out because I’ve never seen one made of both leather and twill.

Opening Ceremony is hooking up with everyone, that slut of a brand. This time it’s with famed leather goods company, Billykirk. The diverse collection includes many Billykirk-style bags and cases in bright, non-Billykirk-style colors. Personally, I don’t think the rainbow colors are a good look for any leather goods. The only bags I like in this collection are the carryalls, which are the most subtle but still vibrant. Check out the entire collection at the Opening Ceremony online store.

I didn’t really know how to categorize this bag, since it caters to such a specific profession: bartending. The Meehan Utility Bag by Moore & Giles gets its namesake from mixologist Jim Meehan. The bag includes compartments for all your mixing needs and is available with an optional bar-roll up. I had no idea there was such thing as a bartending bag, but apparently they look great.

Mismo will be releasing some new pieces this December under their Full Grain Leather collection. The additions will include a tote, wallet, and laptop case. I really like how the laptop case has a zipper running along two sides of it. It’s pretty common to see that on wallets, so I’m surprised I haven’t seen it done on a laptop case until now.
