Mismo presented their latest collection at last weekend’s (capsule) show in New York and will be showing it again this weekend at (capsule) Paris. The bags feature a Mismo-exclusive full grain leather, which exude quality. The laptop briefcase is easily the most exciting bag from the collection.

After months of anticipation, the ACL shop is finally open. In addition to the house brand, ACL & Co., there are also a few collaborations with Billykirk, Cole, Rood, & Haan, and Mark McNairy. Luckily for me, the majority of the items in the shop are bags: breifcases, laptop sleeves, and small zipper bags. If only there were a 13″ laptop sleeve, I’d be all over it. It’s great to see ACL founder Michael Williams turn his blog into a brand, not to mention working with established designers right from the start. I’m excited to see where the brand and blog will go from here.

Hard Graft continues to come correct, this time with their Butterfingers laptop sleeve. The aptly named bag features a band that you can slip your arm through to keep your precious laptop secure. It looks really comfortable to hold and I’m sure it would turn heads (although I’m not sure if said heads would turn to admire or mock). As usual, they use a combination of grey wool felt with fine Italian leather. The leather on the arm band is embossed with their slogan: you lose what you don’t hold. Shit, I wish I thought of that for this website…

Transformers, Beast Wars, Mystique… I’ve always been into shapeshifters. So you can imagine my excitement when I heard about Hard Graft’s new transformable 3Fold bag. The 3Fold can function as three different bags: Laptop, Portfolio, and Overnighter. Not only is the bag extremely functional, it also looks amazing. I love the juxtaposition of grey and brown leathers. Each bag is handmade and individually numbered by a family of leather artisans in Tuscany.

Billykirk and Opening Ceremony continue to collaborate, this time on a waxed leather laptop satchel. Just like the rest of the collaboration’s pieces, the bag uses dark, contrasting colors with a bright colored tag. This seems like a great bag for going to class, since it could fit a laptop and a few notebooks.

This might be the most interesting Macbook sleeve I’ve seen yet. The U Macbook Sleeve by Hard Graft is made of wool felt and has an outer pocket made of Italian leather and elastic herringbone. The pocket is divided into two parts: one for your iPhone or iPod, and a slightly wider one for anything else you need to carry. I think it looks great and I’m impressed by the materials they used, but I’d be concerned about the top having no zipper or anything to close it. It might be okay if you were holding the sleeve by itself, but if you were to put the sleeve in another bag, there’s a good chance the laptop would slide out. In any case (pun intended LUL), check out the rest of the products by Hard Graft; they make beautiful cases for various gadgets.

My current laptop sleeve is a plain, neoprene black thing that doesn’t even fit my Macbook. I would love to replace it with this beautiful sleeve by Wood Wood. The leather is so perfectly textured but soft. It’s available now at Caliroots.

To continue the trend of Native American inspired patterns, here’s a new laptop sleeve from Henrik Vibskov. It seems like every laptop sleeve is made of that soft, foamy, black material, so I appreciate someone doing something different. In this case, the sleeve is a bolivia pattern made of a blend of wool and silk. Available now at The-V-Store.
