The new Sam Cycle Bag from Property Of… looks unassuming on first glance, but opening the front flap reveals all of its zippery, waxed-cotton, veggie-tanned-leather goodness. Looks like another great everyday bag from the Singaporean brand.

Among APC’s recently revealed accessories collection are three bags: one small duffle and two shoulder bags. The styling is clean and simple, as expected from the brand. They should be available at APC stores and stockists soon.

Just one look at this bag and you’ll immediately think quality. The 277BGU2 Bag by Julius is made of vegetable tanned cow leather and features one-of-a-kind hardware. This beautifully functional bag is available in black and my personal preference, charcoal.

Porter has teamed up with Levi’s for a collection of bags and cases ranging from key holders to waist bags to totes. Each item is available in black or brown canvas and features the iconic red tab attached to the Porter label.

If you’ve read my previous post about The North Face Purple Label, you already know my gripe with their backpacks. But I can’t deny their charm and it seems like people really like them. The newest collection of their products is available at nanamica. There’s a range of interesting materials used, the oddest being fleece. For some reason my favorite is the floral pattern, even if it is grandma-ish.

Transformers, Beast Wars, Mystique… I’ve always been into shapeshifters. So you can imagine my excitement when I heard about Hard Graft’s new transformable 3Fold bag. The 3Fold can function as three different bags: Laptop, Portfolio, and Overnighter. Not only is the bag extremely functional, it also looks amazing. I love the juxtaposition of grey and brown leathers. Each bag is handmade and individually numbered by a family of leather artisans in Tuscany.

The title of the blog post at Blackbird asks, “crazy amazing or just crazy?” I say crazy amazing, but I still can’t see myself using such a bag. It’s a long, pig leather rectangle with zippers on both sides that allows the user to transform it in many ways. The best looking is slung to the side. When it’s worn in front, it just looks like a weird leather apron. As weird as it is, I love to see something unique coming out of the bag world.

I don’t even really have anything to say about this. I just wanted to post yet another Opening Ceremony collaboration. The bags are pretty ugly.

Montreal-based Bruxe Design recently released their three-piece Crown collection of bags. If you didn’t already guess by the name and color, the bags were inspired by Crown Royal whiskey. Never mind the purple Melton wool and gold satin inner lining, what really makes me want the backpack is the pen holders. Brings me back to my middle school days when my writing utensils were neatly organized in my Jansport…
