Visvim has released new versions of their Ballistic backpacks, this time in 23 and 20 liter sizes. The Japanese brand is one of my favorites; their Ballistic collection of bags is famous for its heavy duty materials and user-friendly design. Season after season, I’ve seen Visvim release amazing bags from this collection, but I think the latest grey and brown 20L backpack is my new favorite. I should focus on finding a job before looking at four hundred dollar backpacks…

Visvim is starting the year off right with their latest Veggie Collection, which includes two brand new bags! Along with the already famous Ballistic 20L backpack, the brand is introducing the 22L Rucksack and the Lumbar Mini, a smaller version of the 8L Lumbar waist bag. The collection is available in the black/black colorway or the bright-but-beautiful blue/brown. Visvim’s previous bags have become staples within the menswear/streetwear community and I can easily see these two becoming instant classics.

Call me bland, but grey is one of my favorite colors (along with black and beige). Combine that with my favorite bag and you have the latest Visvim collection. The Ballistic trio includes the 20L backpack, 18L E-Cat Messenger Bag, and Bi-Fold wallet. The only thing missing is the in-between sized 8L Lumbar Bag.

They were available at the honeyee store, but sold out quickly. Hopefully there are other places to find them…

Every time these two brands mate, they seem to produce beautiful offspring. I really like the tonal navy color that they chose for these bags (Ballistic 20L Backpack and Ballistic 8L Lumber). In this case, the bags aren’t that much different from what Visvim usually has to offer except for the small, white SOPHNET tag on the leather. They’re available now at select SOPH retailers.

You know this Visvim fanboy can’t pass up the opportunity to post about the Ballistic backpack. This new version is two liters too big for my liking, but I love the tonal grey colorway. The already functional backpack now features a side zipper, although I’m not sure what purpose it serves. Available at honeyee.

Check out the new colorway that Visvim released on my favorite backpack of all time. This isn’t the first time they’ve done red, but it is the first time they’ve done it right. The difference between this one and the last is the brown leather details, which create a great contrast with the red. Being a Bruin, I never even consider owning anything red, but I’d make an exception for this.

SENSE magazine speaks with Visvim’s Hiroki Nakamura about this season’s items, one of which is the Ballistic backpack. This bag is a Visvim regular, released season after season in different colorways and with different materials. It’s probably my all-time favorite backpack, and this season’s doesn’t disappoint. I’m a sucker for earth tones, which would explain why I can’t stop staring at the army green one. One day I’ll have the ¥35,700 to buy one…

Visvim is releasing a series of canvas bags including a tote bag, wallet, and waist bag. The waist bag is my favorite bag of this collection, even though I don’t know when I’d ever wear one (waist bags, aka fanny packs, just scream “Asian tourist”).

The brand is notoriously expensive, usually because of the exotic leathers they use for their products, so it makes me wonder why their canvas products would be just as pricey. These are available at NOS.
